Introduction

In 1981, the inventor Gaston Glock filed his 17th patent, and so the “Glock 17” polymer-framed, striker-fired pistol was born. Designed for the Austrian armed forces and police, the handgun became a worldwide success within just a few years and is known for simplicity, reliability, and accuracy.

The blocky-shaped Glock is one of the most frequent guns to be built out of bricks, and a quick search online shows hundreds of different examples.

After about 15yrs of building LEGO guns, it was finally time to try my hand at building this iconic weapon. A lot of people have been requesting that I make a Glock, and I wanted to see if I could bring something new to the way the famous gun is replicated in brick form, using a variety of advanced SNOT techniques and newer LEGO elements along the way.

Precise Proportions

My top goal in this LEGO design was to precisely match the thickness and shaping of the gun’s slide and angled grip. I needed it to be visually realistic from any angle, no matter how it is held or displayed.

Display Stand

The presentation of the LEGO Glock model is enhanced with a custom-made display stand. I used SNOT-locking techniques to make the stand’s base more durable.
