LEGO WWII M1911A1 1911 Pistol Replica by Brick Replicas

Designed using advanced building techniques, this custom LEGO Colt / Remington Rand 1911 pistol is realistic (life-size, at approx. 1:1 scale) and fun to build. It features a spring-loaded slide trigger, look-down iron sights, and pull-back hammer. This is also a neat display piece and looks/feels like an ultimate collector’s LEGO gun set. I’ve also included a separate set of instructions and parts list code for a custom-fit display stand** (optional). This WWII handgun model is a perfect conversation-starter for you and your friends! If you like my replica LEGO gun, please support my work and purchase a set of instructions. Thank you so much!

How to make a LEGO gun: The building instructions are in PDF format for an easy-access building experience on every device.

Included: PDF Building Instructions + Visual Parts List, Rich Text File with XML Parts List for Bricklink, and PDF Guide for Uploading XML Parts List

The pistol model requires 325 LEGO pieces, not included, and it’s super easy to buy all the parts you need (if you don’t have them already); click here to download the parts lists if you’d like to shop the required pieces ahead of time. When you buy these instructions, you’ll receive my easy-to-follow guide on how to automatically create a shopping list for everything you need with the provided XML code. You can also watch a 10min tutorial here where I explain the process step-by-step: it’s quite simple and less expensive to do yourself than buying a kit.

* The cost of LEGO parts for this pistol model + display stand, when you order directly from BrickLink, is approximately $49 USD plus shipping. This is significantly cheaper than buying a similarly sized and prepackaged kit with all the pieces included: such a custom kit would likely be in the $110–185 range with the added labor, inventory, and other markups. Click here to learn more about the easy parts-buying process for Brick Replicas.

**Please note: Unless you already own the printed 1×1 letter tiles ($4–5ea on the secondhand market) that are used in the display stand, I suggest you skip these discontinued parts, and just add a couple more 1×4 and 1×6 plain tiles, in ordering the pieces. This will bring the estimated cost of the stand (plus s/h) closer to $16 USD instead of $77. 🙂

A UCS-style decal for the M1911A1 is available for sale separately from Ultimate Collector Stickers here, and free instructions for the brick-built plaques are downloadable here.

Really cool build. Ran into a couple of issues with the instructions, but was able to work through them. Looks good next to the real thing.

  2. James H.

Great replica! Very simple to put the code into brick link. The build was fun but tricky at parts and it is a little darker grey in person which is nice
